RULES OF THE COMPETITION
The Umbra Awards Photography Competition is open to all living professional, non-professional, and student photographers of 18 years and above around the globe.
SIGNATURES AND MARKS
Identifying marks like signatures, stamp, or any other form of identification are not allowed in the submitted entry.
Every photo entry submission has a fee of 25 U.S. dollars. Students will avail of a 30% discount by entering "STUDENT" in the discount code on the payment page. You can submit as many entries as you wish.
You may submit in all categories. However, you cannot edit the submitted entries after the entry is paid.
ENTRY FORMAT GUIDELINES
Only digital files are accepted and must be submitted online on the specified My Account's page only. Entries should be saved in .jpg format in high compression RGB at 300dpi not more than 5MB per entry.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY ENTRIES WERE RECEIVED BY UMBRA AWARDS?
Answer: An email of receipt will be sent to you once paid entries are received.
HOW CAN I ENTER THE COMPETITION?
Answer: You are welcome to Sign up or Log in for free to enter the portal of Gold members of Umbra Awards. Just click the Login button on the upper right of the web page and fill up the information required.
WHAT IS DIGITAL FILE FORMAT TO SUBMIT?
Answer: Only JPG digital file format is accepted in high compression settings limited to 5MB file size per entry.
CAN I ENTER ALL THE CATEGORIES?
Answer: Yes you are welcome to submit all the categories. You may submit unlimited entries per category with the appropriate fee per sub-category.

CAN I SUBMIT PHOTOGRAPHS THAT HAVE WON AND PUBLISHED ALREADY IN PREVIOUS UMBRA AWARDS OR OTHER PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITIONS?
Answer: Yes, you may submit photographs that have won already from any photography competition. However, we encourage you to submit new innovative and fresh photographs.
CAN I SUBMIT AGAIN FOR NEW ENTRIES AFTER I PAID MY PREVIOUS ENTRIES?
Answer: Yes, you may submit again as you wish with the corresponding fee per image.
HOW CAN I PAY MY ENTRIES?
Answer: There are two ways to pay your entries. One way is by PayPal and the other is through credit card payment. Paid submissions are not refundable.
WHERE WILL YOU USE MY SUBMITTED PHOTOGRAPHS?
Answer: Photographer retains all copyrights to their own photos. Selected entries will be used for Umbra Awards annual book, social media, and promotional purposes only. No submitted photographs shall be used other than that sole purpose.
DO THE RULES CHANGE EVERY YEAR EDITION?
Answer: The Umbra Awards has the right to change its terms and rules without prior notice including reduction and addition of categories, prizes, web contents, etc. By submitting to the competition, you agree with all the terms and rules of Umbra Awards.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION?
Answer: The submission deadline is until December 30, 2021.
WHEN ARE THE WINNERS GET NOTIFIED?
Answer: The winners will be announced on the official website only. All winners and honorable mentions will be featured through Umbra Award's social media channels. Prior to the announcement of the Umbra Grand Award Winner, all category winners and honorable mention photographs selected by the Jury will be posted as well.
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES FOR THE WINNERS?
Answer: The UMBRA Grand Award Winner "Grand Photographer of the Year Award" will receive the Umbra Award Grand Gold Statue.
Main Category Winners will receive the Umbra Award Gold Medal. The Umbra Award Winner Seal plus the Award Certificates will be given to all the 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Category Winners, and Honorable Mentions.
